Your Ideal Hair Color: your shade, seen on you before the salon

Your Ideal Hair Color by It Girl Concept is an online hair color consultation: it starts from your color analysis (your season out of 12 and your undertone) and shows you 4 shades on your own photo, each with its level, tone, technique and how to ask your stylist for it. It includes the Color Analysis. It costs $48 USD and arrives in 72 hours.

First we read your color: your season and your undertone are the base for choosing your hair shade. With that and your natural color we show you 4 shades on your own photo (the lightest, the darkest, your natural ideal and a vibrant one), each with its level, tone, technique and how to ask your stylist for it. It includes the full Color Analysis, with your palette.

What's included

  • Your season and undertone, the base for choosing your shade
  • 4 shades with mock-ups on your photo: the lightest, the darkest, your natural ideal and a vibrant one
  • Level (1-10), tone and technique (balayage, babylights, gloss, all-over color)
  • How to ask your stylist for it and how much upkeep it needs
  • Shades to avoid and a transition to gray if you're interested
  • Your full color palette (Color Analysis included)

It's for you if…

  • You want to change your hair color without regrets.
  • You want to walk into the salon knowing exactly what to ask for.
  • You're torn between blonde, brunette or copper and don't want to guess.

It's not for you if…

  • What you want to change is your haircut: that's what Face Shape Analysis is for.
  • You're looking for someone to color your hair: we give you the plan for your stylist, not the salon service.
  • You can't take photos without filters or makeup: without them we can't read your color with confidence.

How we choose your shade from photos

First we read your color in window light: your skin, your eyes, your natural hair and, if you send it, your wrist. With your season and undertone we choose the shades that flatter you, and with your natural color or your roots we work out how big a change each one takes. You see them in a simulation on your photo: only your hair color changes; your face, your skin and the light stay the same.

Why does it include Color Analysis?

Because the shade that flatters you depends on your season and your undertone: the same warm brown that lights up an Autumn complexion can wash out a Summer one. That's why your report includes the full Color Analysis, with your palette, metals and makeup, and your 4 shades start from there.

The photos we'll ask for

Face, front view and makeup-free, in window light, plus a photo with your hair down showing your natural color or your roots.

With your phone, in daytime, facing a window and with no filters. After payment we guide you photo by photo.

Delivery and adjustments

  • Your PDF report in 72 hours from when your photos and questionnaire are complete.
  • 2 rounds of adjustments: you request them within 48 hours of each delivery and each one arrives within 2 business days.
  • Mock-ups are digital simulations: they change haircut, color, makeup and clothes, never the shape of your face or your body.
  • Your photos are deleted when your order closes (no later than 14 days after delivery) and aren't used for any other purpose.

Frequently asked questions

What hair color suits my skin tone?

It depends on your season and your undertone, not just on whether your skin is light or deep. That's why we do your color analysis first and then show you 4 shades on your own photo: the lightest, the darkest, your natural ideal and a vibrant one.

Do you tell me what to ask for at the salon?

Yes: for each shade you get the level (1 to 10), the tone and the technique (balayage, babylights, gloss or all-over color), how to ask your stylist for it and how much upkeep it needs.

What photos do I need?

Your face, front view and makeup-free, in daylight next to a window and without filters, plus a photo with your hair down where your natural color or your roots show. We guide you step by step.

Does it work if I dye my hair or I'm going gray?

Yes. In the questionnaire we ask about your natural color and how long you've been dyeing it, and the photo of your roots helps. If you have gray hair, we tell you how to cover it or how to transition, if you're interested.

How much does it cost?

Your Ideal Hair Color costs $48 USD, a final price with no extra fees at checkout, and it already includes your full Color Analysis with your palette: you don't need to buy it separately.
